Co-Star the Harrogate UK based global supplier to the ICT industry has today announced that it’s adding the latest HSD (High Speed Data) connectors to their product portfolio.
The demand for HSD connectors has been driven by the adoption of Telematics and high speed data communications systems in vehicles.
The Co-Star range of HSD connectors are based on the star-quad principle which is a symmetrical impedance controlled 100 ohm interconnect system for High Speed Data transmission. Interference from crosstalk and external sources is prevented, ensuring high-performance transmission quality.
HSD connectors can be used in combination with a variety of protocols such as LVDS camera (Low Voltage Differential Signalling), GVIF (Gigabit Video Interface), USB, IEEE 1394 as well as Ethernet protocols.

Applications for HSD connectors include:
- Infotainment Modules
- Headed Units
- Cluster Displays
- Consumer Ports
